Song Spells #2, Casiopea - Time Limit


 Time Limit

Appearance: A flash of light beams from the caster’s hands once, and during the 5 seconds the caster is encased in a mantle of glowing pale-yellow light.

Effect: When cast, declare an action that you intend to do and roll 5 D10s and count them up. If you succeed before 5 actual seconds pass the action will happen without fail. If you fail, then your turn passes. (If you count them up improperly then you don’t succeed as well). This spell can be cast fairly often but cannot be relied upon as some sort of unknown force sometimes judges whether or not the situation needs a climactic countdown. 

Duration: 5 seconds

Range: Caster (means it effects the casters will and doesn’t actual travel out from the caster)

Type: Evocation

Casiopea is a Japanese Jazz funk fusion band that I came across due to youtubes (sometimes) excellent random algorithm. This album has an amazing display of talent. Every element of the band is on top of its game, and it fits right into the niche of J-Jazz. This song especially fits their album cover, an image of two racing cars in fierce competition with each other. Listening to this song I could only imagine a frantic but entertaining situation unfolding in an untimely manner. I highly recommend this album.

Song Spell #24 Ian Carr - Caliban

 Caliban Level: Legendary Appearance: The caster will summon Caliban, a golden gargoyle with kaleidoscopic eyes, who will obliterate all the caster chooses with an array of dreadful rays that beam from Caliban's eyes. Caliban has horns all over their body, concentrated on the side of their head and on their arms as well. Caliban speaks with a hypnotic cadence and their voice captivates anyone listening, inspiring allies, and terrifying foes. Caliban is immobile and the caster must choose where Caliban will perch. Caliban shifts through many faces, with each beamsight bearing a new fearsome face. Song Spell #44 Cake - The distance

 The distance Level: Intermediate Appearance: The caster visibly has more drag control and trajectory accuracy of any projectile based magic. Effect: The distance allows the caster to have more predictable control of projectile magic. The spell specifically makes projectiles work more in line with the distance variable of travel, making the spell more likely to hit its mark. This grants a bonus to any spell rolls if used premptively, which is the only way this meta spell can be used.  Duration: The duration of the spell that the distance has been cast on. Range: Caster range Type: Meta  This is a very energetic song with an excellent bassline and guitar riff. I like the lyrics of this song. They are unconventional for the situation that they are describing.
