Song spell #13 Aphex Twin - Flim

 Flim

Level: Intermediate

Appearance: Flim doesn’t have an appearance when cast, but rather appears in the form of a passive yellow glow that illuminates objects that Flim effects. Lies glow and fix themselves to be the truth whether it’s in the tongue of the liar, or in the writing that contains the lie.

Effect: Flim has several effects that the caster can choose from. The list goes as follows below.

- Flim will let you see a secret door

- Flim will let you see through disguises magical or not

- Flim will reveal nearby treasure

- Flim will reveal a hidden monster

- Flim will reveal a lie

All these effects can be declared in any order, and however many of them the caster wishes to state. If all of them are true, however many were stated activate. If any of them are false, then the spell will not function. You also may only use the spell 2 times per room, so you must sparingly choose which Flim effect you intend to use. If you leave the room for several cycles and return you will be able to use it again.

Duration: Activates once and reveals it to caster one time

Range: Must be used in a clearly defined room, and you must be able to see the ends of the room whether it is ceiling or walls.

Type: Evocation

This song is in fierce competition for my favorite Aphex twin song. It is such an interesting little song to listen to and makes me imagine all sorts of environments and scenarios that could fit it that are beyond bizarre and strange.
