Song Spell #38 Khruangbin - Order of Operations

 Order of Operations

Level: Intermediate

Appearance: The caster will vanish, and onlookers will experience great confusion until they are suddenly moved around at an imperceptible speed. All notions of action are befuddled, causing the caster to reappear either composed, or as confused as all the rest.

Effect: Order of operations creates a reality altering sequencing method that will only be accessible to the caster if they call the result of one of three rolls of a D6. If they gain control, they can set turn order for one combat round. The spell can be reused each repeat round. If the caster does not gain control, initiative is randomized regardless of skill. Outside of combat, this spell disrupts all planned free actions of each person in the caster’s vicinity, except for the caster if they manage to call a D6 roll out of 3 rolls.

Duration: If cast, it immediately takes effect, and lasts a combat round. Outside of combat, the spell lasts as long as it takes for everyone to take their free action and fail it.

Range: Affects all who enters a combat round with the caster. Outside of combat the spell has a 20-foot radius of effect.

Type: Illusion and evocation

As many have stated before, Khruangbin effortlessly makes tight music that also sounds spacious and serene. They are true genre benders.
